Texas agriculture, food security, land ownership, and the future of the great state of Texas are on the ballot! This is the debate conservatives cannot afford to miss!

On Sunday, February 15th, join us at the iconic Angelika Film Center & Cafe for a head-to-head showdown in the race for Texas Agriculture Commissioner. Incumbent Sid Miller faces primary challenger Nate Sheets in a live, in-person debate that will shape the future of Texas agriculture and conservative leadership statewide.

Our debate will be co-moderated by Chris Putnam, CEO of Dallas Express alongside Debbie Georgatos, RNC Committeewoman for Texas and Host of America, Can We Talk? Their combined experience in the political arena, news media and Texas business make them a dynamic team, and one that is not afraid to ask the tough questions!

We will also be joined by several special guests including TX House Representatives Katrina Pierson and Shelley Luther!

Attendees will hear direct, unfiltered answers on the issues that matter most to conservatives, farmers, ranchers, and Texans who care about the security and sovereignty of our state.

Attendees may submit questions to our moderators before and during the debate HERE!

The evening begins with an exclusive VIP Meet & Greet at 5:00 PM, followed by the main program and debate at 6:00 PM.

If you care about the future of Texas agriculture, this is your moment to show up, be informed, and be part of the conversation!

Meet Our Candidates

Sid Miller Texas Agriculture Commissioner (incumbant)

Sid Miller is the 12th Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture, a role he has held since January 2015. An eighth-generation Texas farmer and rancher, Miller has devoted his life to advancing rural communities, defending property rights, and promoting Texas-grown products and the interests of farmers and ranchers across the Lone Star State. Before becoming Agriculture Commissioner, Miller served six terms in the Texas House of Representatives, where he championed conservative principles, defended agricultural interests, and fought for individual liberties and constitutional freedoms. He chaired key committees like Agriculture & Livestock and Homeland Security during his legislative tenure. In office, Miller has focused on streamlining agricultural services, boosting consumer protections, and expanding markets for Texas products both at home and abroad. He’s a strong proponent of water access for farmers and ranchers, rural economic development, and safeguarding Texas farmland from unnecessary encroachment. Miller is also a lifelong Texan, a commercial nursery owner, and a champion rodeo cowboy, reflecting his deep roots in Texas culture and agriculture.

Nate Sheets Primary Challenger

Nathan “Nate” Sheets is a fifth-generation Texan, U.S. Navy veteran, successful entrepreneur, and staunch conservative Republican running for Texas Agriculture Commissioner in the 2026 GOP primary. Born and raised in the Texas Hill Country, Nate learned the values of service, discipline, and faith early in life — serving six years in the United States Naval Reserve before earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas State University. After his military service, Nate and his wife Patty turned a single backyard beehive into Nature Nate’s Honey, which became America’s #1 branded honey, known nationwide for its emphasis on purity, transparency, and farm-to-family quality. Under his leadership, the brand set industry standards for clean, unadulterated food and reflected his deep commitment to healthy, honest agriculture. A Christian family man with four children and a daughter-in-law, Sheets is not a career politician — he’s a builder with real-world experience who wants to bring clean food reform, rural economic strength, Texas-first trade, and strong conservative leadership to the Texas Department of Agriculture. He and his family also operate a ranch near Guthrie, where they continue hands-on stewardship of land and livestock. Nate has earned key endorsements from major Texas conservative groups and is running on a platform that defends Texas farmers and ranchers, prioritizes food security and purity, protects property rights, and champions policies that support families and rural communities.

Meet Our Special Guests

Katrina Pierson TX State Representative - District 33

Representative Katrina Pierson is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives serving District 33, which includes Rockwall County and parts of southern Collin County. A seasoned conservative leader and communications expert, Rep. Pierson has spent over fifteen years advocating for limited government, strong borders, economic freedom, and individual liberties. She first rose to national prominence as a grassroots activist in the Tea Party movement, gaining recognition as one of its “Founding Mothers” following a viral speech at a Dallas Tea Party rally in 2009. Before her election to the Texas Legislature, Pierson was best known as the national spokesperson for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, regularly appearing on major news networks to defend conservative policies and principles. In the Texas House, she serves on key committees including Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans’ Affairs and Public Health, actively shaping policy on public safety, health, and veterans issues. Born in Wichita, Kansas, Pierson overcame a challenging childhood to earn an Associate of Science from Kilgore College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas. She lives in Rockwall, Texas.

Shelley Luther TX State Representative - District 62

Shelley Luther is an American small business owner and Republican politician currently serving as the State Representative for Texas House District 62. She assumed office on January 14, 2025, after winning the November 2024 general election with a strong majority of the vote. Luther founded Salon à la Mode and Hot Mess Enterprises in Far North Dallas and gained national attention in 2020 when she defied COVID-19 lockdown orders by reopening her salon — a stance that resulted in a brief jail sentence and made her a prominent figure in debates over economic freedom and government mandates. She has run for multiple offices, including the Texas Senate in 2020 and the Texas House in 2022, before securing her current seat in 2024. Luther’s legislative priorities include limited government, border security, and support for school choice. Luther resides near Tom Bean, Texas, and has been active in her community as a business owner, mother, and advocate for conservative principles.
